Our client is a multinational globally recognised Freight Forwarder with a vacancy for an experienced operations speacialist to join their Projects Division.
Responsibilities
Provide the highest level of customer service in the industry to all customers.
Ensure all options are researched to establish maximum profitability while meeting customer expectations when preparing quotations.
Arrange all import and export air and sea shipments on behalf of customers.
Facilitate the correct handling of all cargo types and releasing of cargo.
Issuing of required documentation to customers and agent within the required time frames.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external customers and vendors
Creating import and export quotations for both air and sea shipments.
Liaising and coordination with origin and destination offices and agents to arrange the movement of cargo.
Creating and distribution of tracking reports.
Providing operations with required documents and creating / advising invoice amounts.
Create exporting bookings and coordination of cartage.
Update and maintain customer details in the database.
Handle routed shipments as required, transshipment bookings and foreign to foreign shipments within the South Pacific.
Creating and issuing of invoices and completing costings per file, bills of lading and other shipment documentation
Additional Duties and Responsibilities
Complete all tasks and requirements as assigned by management
Adhere to all standard procedures as outlined in the Projects SOP
Respond professionally to all emails within 24 hours without exception
Adhere to all facets of the company s communication procedure
Adhere to existing policies and procedures while continuously seeking to improve them
Ideally applicants will have a solid background in Sea & Air Freight Operations within the Australian Forwarding industry & be activley looking for a new demanding role within a freindly and proactive team where career progression opportunites may become available in the future.
