Network Security Engineer

The key responsibilities of the role are to provide 50% technical support and administration and 50% Project work on the Cisco data communications network. You will also troubleshoot and resolve network problems; ensure appropriate performance of the data and voice networks for the efficient use of end users; and provide technical guidance relating to the implementation of systems and projects.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • appropriate qualifications in IT and CCNA preferred
  • You will have at least 2 years experience with PIX and ASA's
  • in-depth experience with installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Routers and Switches (IOS, NOS) and ASA and Firewall devices
  • knowledge and experience in network troubleshooting using package capture analysis tools
  • Any experience of Network Integration will be very beneficial
  • a minimum of two years experience in specialised technical support of Cisco equipment
  • the ability to work in a pressured break/fix environment for critical data and voice systems
  • an innovative thinking style with a demonstrated ability to contribute to strategic plans
  • exceptional analytical and problem solving skills
  • the ability to think independently
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills
