2nd Level IT Support (S39)
I am currently working on an exciting opportunity for an experienced 2nd Level Support Specialist to join IT services client based in the Northern Beaches. Would ideally like to hear from Australian Citizens due to government based projects.
Reporting to the IT services manager you will be responsible for the day-to day IT support of a range of business units. The role is responsible for the troubleshooting and resolving Level 2 problems for PC's, Laptops, peripherals and infrastructure with escalation to Level 3 support where the problem cannot be resolved in a timely manner. The role will suit an experienced support specialist that is looking to gain exposure to infrastructure support and some project work.
Key responsibilities to include:
Troubleshoot and resolve 2nd level Support issues for desktops, telephony, applications and infrastructure.
Resolve issues escalated by the 1st level support team.
Ensure Recall site infrastructure (LAN, Printers, and Servers) is maintained in accordance with IT best practice.
Maintain the desktop SOE and asset register
Ensure regional/local Servers (not within a Data Centre) are effectively managed to ensure backups, patching and anti-virus are in accordance with Recall guidelines and policies.
To be considered, you will possess the following:
At least 2 years of working in an IT Support Function.
Knowledge of Windows 2003/2008 Server, Windows XP Professional, LAN/WAN
Infrastructure, Server/PC/Laptop builds, Handheld Scanners/PDT's, Microsoft Office suite (2003, 2007), Windows Terminal Server/Citrix, Hardware diagnosis/repair
(PC/Server/Laptop/peripherals)
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills
Ability to work under pressure and partake in multiple tasks simultaneously
Determine priorities and appropriate escalation
Strong Systems Support/Troubleshooting skills
Logical/analytical process thinking
