Test Automation Engineer
  
My client, a leading Government organisation has an urgent requirement for a Test Automation Engineer. The role will initially be a 6 month contract with a view to extend.
  
Duties

• Identify automation candidates from existing test cases
• Work alongside test case designers and identify automation candidates
• Review requirements for testability
• Design and produce automated test cases from requirements
• Build and maintain multi-project automation libraries
• Be responsible for the execution of automated test cases, and report results
• Monitor outcomes and processes, and make suggestions for continuous improvement

Skills required for the role  

• At least two years exposure to Quality Centre
• At least three years test case automation with an industry tool
• TestComplete automation tool experience
• Responsibility for creation and maintenance of a modular and robust automation suite
• Excellent documentation experience and skills
• Defect management (creation and monitoring to resolution of defects)
• Exposure to real time systems
• Experience in adherence to a testing methodology
• Willingness to execute manual test cases if necessary
• Visual Component Library (VCL) programming
• Manual testing, including test planning and test case definition
• Scripting in general, VB Script in particular
• VMware and experience in working on virtual environments
