ABOUT THE ROLE

My client a well known government owned corporation are seeking the expertise of an experienced Storage Administrator to be responsible for the following;

Responsibilities

• Storage incident resolution as per Gold Service SLA
• Provision of high level of support (performance monitoring, maintenance and tuning) of Storage infrastructure for a Wintel and Vmware Environment
• Provision of technical advice to customers and management
• Provision of technical and operational input into separation activities from a Storage infrastructure perspective for the Windows Server Platform
• May be required to be oncall 24 x 7 on a rotational basis

ABOUT YOU

To be successful you will have demonstrated experience in the following;

Essential

• EMC storage arrays including VMAXs and DataDomain
• EMC storage management software including SymCLI, SMC, ControlCenter, and SPA
• Brocade SAN Fabric directors and switches (DCX in particular)
• Symantec Storage Foundations
• Tivoli Storage Manager
• Data migration tools and techniques

Desirable

• SAN and Server related network infrastructure
• 3rd party products such as Incident and Change Management tools e.g. Frontrange ITSM
• VMware Server Infrastructure
• Powerpath VE
• Microsoft Desktop Client e.g. Outlook and Automated Email Archiving Solutions e.g. Symantec Enterprise Vault

You will also have experience in Storage optimisation, performance tuning and automation and high level of problem identification, analysis and resolution skills in an IT environment.
