Mine Geologist - Underground

The Role?

• This is a diverse role that will see you work across all aspects of geology
• Don't be pigeon holed like so many other companies that promise good experience
• Work across production, near mine development and be heavily involved with resource work
• Take on various responsibilities whilst having the support of seniors

Reporting to the senior mine geologist duties will include -

• Mapping UG faces
• Logging of diamond drill core
• Supervising other mine staff (samplers, drillers etc)
• Interpretation of results (Drilling/ mapping)
• Offering support to daily mining activities
• preparation of 3D shapes / block models
• Getting involved with mine structural model
• Maintenance of data
• Contributing to development of resource/ reserve estimates

You really will get exposure to EVERYTHING!

Successful Candidates will require tertiary qualifications in Geology, at least 2 years UG geology experience, be interested in VHMS deposits, have good mining software skills, have a keen interest in technical/ structural aspects of geology and will have the ability to work autonomously whilst mentoring more junior staff members.
