Systems Engineer

Key responsibilities:

• Co-ordinate and deliver systems support as per Support Methodology;
• Liaise with systems users and business managers;
• Manage projects, service requests, changes and incidents relating to Corporate IT;
• Contribute to the design, implementation and management of Servers and storage management systems;
• Capacity planning of system usage;
• Contribute to the development and operational support of Disaster Recovery plans;
• Resolve system support issues;
• Collect statistics on system related support activities;
• Conduct user training programs in effective use of systems;

Key requirements:

• Expertise in Windows operating systems;
• Considerable expertise with high availability, Corporate Enterprise environments;
• Expertise in the installation, testing, delivery, integration and support of Microsoft infrastructure applications, including Active Directory, DHCP, DNS;
• Expertise with supporting a Virtualised environment based on VMware Infrastructure;
• Expertise in automating processes through Scripting;
• Excellent communication skills;
• Strong team relationship & mentoring skills & customer service mentality;
• Project management skills;
