This is permanent/full-time role to gather and analyse business requirements, providing leadership and innovative solutions for on-line IT systems.
 
We are looking for mid - senior level Technical Business Analyst with experience in a Microsoft environment. To be considered for this role you will be a strong communicator, who has worked on an on-line project in the past.
 
You will be part of a large and complex program of works within a role that focuses primarily on identifying, defining, and managing the business requirements within a project, using a variety of business analysis methods, techniques and modeling tools such as: stakeholder analysis; workshop facilitation; interviews and customer shadowing.

Your role will include the following responsibilities: 

• Produce highest quality technical analysis covering complex data, complex data mapping, process and process mapping
• Produce functional and technical design for system development
• Produce/review high quality testing plans and documentation of same
• Work closely with business analysts, sales and sales support staff, credit, compliance and operations staff to understand business requirements, and to ensure that understanding is faithfully translated to functional and technical specifications.
• Work closely with developers and testers to ensure their understanding of and compliance with functional and technical requirements
• Proactively identify and resolve technical problems to meet deadlines and expected outcomes
• Lead or participate as a proactive team member to own and deliver assigned project work through the full development cycle

You should have the following skills and experience:

• At least a few years' commercial experience, including specialist technical experience in programming, ERDs, data/work flow descriptions, and other analysis and design experience
• Excellent documentation, and other communication skills
• Proven record of working with common systems development methodologies and phases
• Knowledge and experience with relational databases e.g. MS SQL, Oracle
• Experience in project environments
• Experience with in-house development
• Experience with a variety of technologies and platforms e.g. client server, mainframe, .NET
• Financial services industry
• Professional, confident and mature
