A project has been initiated for the development, implementation and maintenance of a management system including guidelines for the design, installation, commissioning and handover of assets under the Infrastructure Life Cycle management system for improved asset management of technologies. The Technical Writer will be required to work on this new project, working closely with a team of 30 people.

The successful candidate's responsibilities will include the following:

• Assisting in the determination of the status of current documentation and identifying new documentation requirements (Gap analysis)
• Assisting in the development of new documentation
• Networking across IT groups
• Facilitating - group work
• Involvement in setting up the IT management system framework in accordance with ISO standards
• Developing a greater understanding of the Quality Standards
• Understanding of Auditing and Quality Management Systems/Processes
• Organising meetings (logistics), taking minutes of meetings.
• Travel involved within Sydney - Drivers license preferred but not necessary

To be considered for an interview, applicants must demonstrate the following skills and qualifications:

• Extensive commercial experience in a similar position
• Proven ability to produce documentation to a very high standard within defined guidelines
• Demonstrable experience liaising with users at various levels of the organization
• High-level oral and written communication skills are required for this position.
• Ability to work without supervision to achieve defined outcomes
• Experience with Visio & with Word
• Detailed experience drafting documents and finalising documents 
• Group Facilitation skills
• NB: This opportunity may suit someone in the early stages of their Engineering career.
• A valid Drivers license is preferred but not necessary
