This is an fantastic career opportunity to join a vibrant municipality working with a highly professional and friendly team of statutory planners. Conveniently located close to transport, this Council is looking for an experienced and confident statutory planner to join their team.
  
To be considered for this senior appointment, you must demonstrate a strong background in statutory planning in Victoria and have a sound understanding of the workings of Local Government. You will be a team player and enjoy working in a supportive planning team who are driven to achieve good planning outcomes. As a Principal Planner, your responsibilities will include assessing and processing a range of complex planning applications, detailed report writing, attending VCAT hearings, mentoring staff as well as providing a professional level of advice and great customer service to applicants and developers.  Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential coupled with strong problem solving and negotiation skills.
