Our Melbourne based client requires a Technical Infrastructure Architect to design the components of a solution and ensure they are appropriate to meet the business requirements, are technically viable and are consistent with the Enterprise Architecture Baseline.
To summarise, the key criteria of this position are:
- Develop detailed Technical Infrastructure Architecture designs.
- Work with Solution Architects and Designers to understand and confirm technical and non-functional requirements.
- Work with infrastructure experts to develop end to end infrastructure designs
- Design and document the operational architecture
- Provide technical leadership to design teams.
- Develop a working knowledge of the baseline technical architecture
- Resolve design issues that arise during the project.
The skills and experience required for the role are:
- Substantial experience in developing infrastructure architectures across multiple environments
- Good working knowledge of server, network, storage and virtualisation technologies
- Solid experience working with IBM Websphere technologies
- Experience in designing the infrastructure to support applications and databases.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills
