ICT Contracts Officer

A large Government department located in Chatswood is immediately looking for an ICT Contracts Officer. In this role you will assist in the provision of a broad range of ICT contracts, associated procurement services and vendor management for the business units, including the preparation and/or review of tender, contractual and purchasing instruments relating to acquisition and implementation of large complex ICT systems.

The Role

• Competitive tendering for ICT Goods and Services
• Establishment and renewal of ICT Goods and Services contracts
• Maintaining contracts information centrally for organisational purposes
• Vendor management with regard to contractual compliance

The Requirements

To be successful in this role you will possess skills, and experience, in ICT procurement, with a sound knowledge and understanding of public sector procurement requirements.

- Significant experience and skills in leading the preparation, negotiation, establishment of complex agreements, tenders, and orders; including on-going contract and vendor compliance management.
- Understanding (and preferably experienced in use) of “GITC” and /or “Procure IT” contracting frameworks.
- Highly developed and proven analytical skills and the ability to evaluate and present and resolve complex issues.
- Demonstrated understanding of the risks associated with tendering and contracting and ensuring the service acts with integrity and probity
-High level writing skills demonstrated by ability to prepare documents and reports relevant to tenders /contracts /vendor management.
- Superior oral communication skills, the ability to communicate in an explicit and exacting manner with legal and corporate professionals; with demonstrated ability to successfully negotiate, lead and influence stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work effectively as a team member, as well as independently, proactively and without supervision.
