Our client is an employee Owned, Australian Company that operates locally in Australia and Internationally throughout Asia, the Middle East and Pacific, offering a full range of planning, design and environmental consulting services.

They seek a Planning Manager able to support the principal in the day to day running of the practice.

The position will involve:

• Allocation of staff and resources to meet income targets and project deadlines.
• Development of new & existing business opportunities
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and clients in your discipline
• Manage projects to ensure effective management delivery and
• Continue "hands on" project work within your own areas of expertise
• Supervision of staff on all levels, work performed, expenses, leave, training etc
• Fee proposals, due diligence etc

Ideally you will have:

• A degree in Urban and Regional Planning, Town Planning, Environment Planning; (or relevant tertiary qualifications)
• Significant working knowledge of the statutory framework governing land use planning including the relevant development assessment system and associated Planning Regulations.
• Well established and demonstrated written and oral interpersonal communications skills
• Well established and demonstrated written communication including reports and correspondence.
• Well established and demonstrated project, budget and time management skills
• Demonstrated experience, skills and knowledge of working with and in a team environment
• Demonstrated aptitude of computer applications in particular Microsoft Office.
• Demonstrated experience skills and knowledge of working with and in a team environment
• Awareness of urban design and architectural trends influencing development outcomes
• Knowledge of sustainability principles as they relate to planning, development and communities.
